Jonathan Walter Olbert from Diepholz (winner of the 2015 Diepholz Cultural Award) is known as an artist who has an insightful view of the world which he has experienced by observing nature’s creative force in a variety of ways.
Jonathan transfers these insights into his photographs for other people to enjoy.
His creative focus is evolving towards photography and he presents the viewer with a visual world in which he is encouraged to pause for a while and contemplate, and to embrace tranquility and silence. In this respect, his photos do not simply depict images from nature but are idealised views of nature which the artists uses in order to arouse the viewer’s curiosity.
